PROPHETIC WORD FOR JULY 2020 IS FREEDOM

Hearing and reading the truth of God’s Word is one huge step in the transformation process. Before I read the word and discovered the finished work of His cross, I was a miserable mess. I thought God was angry with me, even punishing me and I had to earn His love. Moreover, I also need to focus on the prophetic words for July 2020.

“If you abide in My word…And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

FREEDOM IN THE SON

Jesus said to the Pharisees, “Therefore If the Son makes you free you shall be free indeed.” Jn. 8:36

The Pharisees scoffed at Jesus when He said the above statement. The Pharisees denied they were in bondage to anyone, yet the Romans, ruled every aspect of their lives.

Besides being occupied by the Romans, the Israelites were burden by an additional 613 laws, along with the ten commandments. The Pharisees didn’t understand Moses’ law was ending and God’s abundant Grace was beginning. Jesus came to liberate them from the law. Today, Jesus wants to free us, too.

“For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”John 1:17

Two land masses separate with the word Grace in the middle.

Grace God’s Gift

From the above verses, it’s truly amazing what  Jesus did for us at the cross. God’s abundant Grace is flowing toward each one of us because of Jesus.

“You were saved by faith in God, who treats us much better than we deserve. This is God’s gift to you and not anything you have done on your own.”

If my flesh is prickled by other words or actions or fearful thoughts. It’s like a neon sign. I’ve slipped out of grace into the rigid law way of thinking. I’m not tapping into the grace or extending grace to others. My mind is at peace if I am believing, receiving, and marinating on grace filled scriptures.

Freedom to Real Transformation

Transitory transformation is like in the movies where, the plain girl applies make-up, cuts her hair, buys a new wardrobe, and becomes prom queen. It’s fleeting. The girl’s appearance is changed, but internally she remains the same and usually returns to her old self. Lasting transformation is not based on external factors, but on dying to yourself and making Jesus the king of your life. Dying to self doesn’t mean, being like everyone else, or denying your personality. You are still free to be you. God is working out His glory through your personality after all God made you and that includes your true personality.

Dying to Self Points to  Freedom

The dying to yourself sounds scary, even crazy, but it’s shaking off your counterfeit self.  False mindsets, wrong thoughts, years of people telling you what to do an who to be. All coupled with experiences God never wanted you to have.

Another important aspect of dying is lying down your own opinion for God’s. Just ask for God’s opinion, He’s waiting for you to ask.

Or dying to one’s self can be going places where God sends you.

Or praying when you don’t feel like it.

Each time you think you are giving something up, God gives you something better in return.

“If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me you will find it.”

Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom,  freedom to be who God created you to be. During the transformation process, the Lord, makes us more and more like Him as we are changed into his glorious image. (2 Cor. 3:17-18)

Testing in the Freedom to Transformation

Girl getting free as she squeezes through the door July 2020 freedom

This month God showed me, a picture of a woman, squeezing through a door. To get freed from the door, the woman had to leave some things behind to enter into the new things the Lord has for them.

I also see the enemy is trying to block the door,  to see if are we going to believe God and His promises, or are we going to believe what we see in the natural. Let’s stand on the word of the promises and not the enemy’s lies.

Unbelief Closes the Door

Moses hold the commandments and the golden calf's head is by is feet

Two tests occurred for the Israelites during the July, known as Tammuz. First, the Israelites made the golden calf, and exactly a year later, the 12 spies returned from the promised land with their report. Unfortunately, the majority of the people failed these tests.

The Hebrews grew impatient, waiting for Moses for 40 days, so they molded the golden calf, breaking the first commandment. In anger, Moses broke the stone tablet where God wrote the commandments.

Twelve Spies

In the second test, the twelve spies returned from the promised land, with ten delivering their bad report. While, the two spies, Joshua and Caleb believed they could enter into the promised land. The ten unbelieving spies looked to their own strength to defeat the giants in the land. While, the two believing spies looked to God’s strength to defeat the giants, not at their own strength. Even though they were under the law, Joshua and Caleb lived like they were under Grace.  Eventually, those two lived in the promised land. It’s a fight to contend for the promises of God when it seems impossible. Don’t give up!

To receive the freedom to transformation, stay in the word, choose God’s grace over the lie of legalism. Believe God’s no matter how awful things look in the natural. Even though it’s difficult, trying to shed some flesh so we can display more of His glory in us. The good news is we can’t do any of these things without Jesus by our side and the Holy Spirit who is guiding us into all truth.

Prayer

Lord in Jesus’ name, help me believe in your promises. Lord help me to walk in the freedom of Your Grace and leave legalism behind. Thank you, Lord, for helping me pass any tests this month. Thank you, for helping me get and stay free and for the transformation you are doing in and through me for Your Glory to be displayed. Lord shows me what needs to go so I can walk in a new level of freedom. And thank you for a new hunger for your word. Amen

    1. I am so glad it encouraged you, honestly it’s been encouraging to me, too. I’ve been thinking a lot about Joshua and Caleb and their faith. Bless you for taking the time to comment.

  1. Your word this month was full of food for thought, Susan. It makes me so grateful God chose to have me live in this time of history, and not before the cross of Jesus. Thank you for making it easy to be grateful when reading through your chart. Grace is God’s gift, and the Law sure showed all of mankind how we need Him more than we can possibly understand.

May He break every chain of bondage and law that would hold us back for the blood and grace of our beloved Jesus. Blessings and shalom to you!

    1. Bless you Susan! I agree we are so blessed to be under grace. I’ve learned so much this month to loosen some of my chains as well but still need more freedom. I am thrilled the chart blessed you, me as well.

May you walk in the fullness of God this month and walk into your promised land. Blessing to you and thank you for commenting on my post!
