|

Have you ever felt like God’s not fighting for you? You might feel stuck in a difficult situation with no way out. My personal experience is sometimes family and friends might ditch you in your time of need. You feel abandoned. I know I felt that way. But that’s when we need to know God is always for you and wants to help you. Remember, the Lord fights for you and when God fights your battles, victory is certain because He never fails.

Staying Calm in the Midst of Battles

One of the most quoted Bible verses about when God fights your battles is Exodus 14:14 “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Then God tells Moses that after today you won’t see your enemy anymore and, “The Lord will fight for you, just stay calm.”

But how does one even stay calm and let God fight your battles? I’ve gone from always worrying to peace in knowing God will fight for me, and He will fight for you, too. I’ve found when I would try to fix everything and everybody by myself, my troubles became worse.

Maybe that’s why you’re reading this—you’ve struggled on your own for so long. I’m here to tell you it’s time to turn the tide on your battle by inviting God’s divine to help you. He is waiting on the sidelines for you to invite Him in. Don’t give up! Your victory might be closer than you think.

Key Insight# 2 God Fights For Us Even When We Make Mistakes

God will fight for you, even in your dreams! King Abimelech took Abraham’s wife, Sarah, because He wanted to sleep with her. All of this was Abraham’s fault because he lied to the king trying to pass Sarah off as his sister.

Abraham lied. The Lord will help you even when we’ve made mistakes and that was in the Old Testament, now through Jesus’ sacrifice, his blood covers us from our sins. Of course we are trying to live Godly lives but we fail every day.

God warned Abimelech through a dream that touching Sarah would lead to his death. Heeding this divine warning, Abimelech promptly returned Sarah to Abraham and compensated him with silver and livestock.

Amazing, isn’t it while you’re sleeping that’s when God fights your battles!

“For the LORD your God is going with you! He will fight for you against your enemies, and he will give you victory!” Deut. 20:14.

But wait there’s more. Abraham ended up praying for the Abimelech.

Prayer for God to Fight My Battle

Lord, in Jesus’ name, I pray you will invade my enemy in their dreams, showing their injustices against me and the error of their ways. We pray that when they wake up from sleep, they will have a change of heart toward me. Also Lord help me pray and bless those that hurt me. Amen

Key Insight 3: Accelerate Victory Through Prayer

When facing challenges, it’s powerful to have friends and family pray with you. Trusting in God for a positive outcome can change the course of your battle.

Think of Moses during the fight against the Amalekites: when he kept his arms raised, symbolizing steadfast prayer, his side was winning. But as he grew tired and his arms fell, the enemy gained ground. To help him, his companions had him sit on a stone while they supported his arms, ensuring continued victory.

Moses’ outstretched arms symbolize the power of intercessory prayer. In your own struggles, approach the battle on your knees, drawing strength from the steadfast rock of Christ, especially when weary. Moreover, when emotionally exhausted, lean on your community—family and friends—to uplift you through prayer.

“For the battle is the LORD’s, and He will give you into our hands.” 1 Sam. 17:47

Thank you, Jesus, for always fighting my battles, no matter what it takes. Amen.

King Balak hired Balaam to curse Israel. It seems Moses was unaware what was going on, but God knew. When God fights your battle, He breaks word curses. When Balaam tried to curse Israel, blessings came out of his mouth instead!

God loves you and wants to bless you. Whether you’re fighting for the kingdom of God or following God’s will over your life, when God fights your battles, He will use His power to protect you from curses and bring blessings upon your life.

“Oppose my opponents, LORD; fight those who fight me.” Psalm 35:1

Elisha and his servant with the angels in the sky above the enemies camp

Key Insight #5When God Fights your battles, He will use the supernatural

In times of great need, God’s interventions often surpass our natural understanding and expectations, revealing His power in profound ways. Beyond the well-known stories of Peter and Paul, here are additional biblical examples demonstrating how God employs the supernatural to deliver and protect:

Elisha and the Army of Angels:

  • Scenario: Surrounded by an enemy army, Elisha’s servant feared for their lives. Elisha prayed for his servant’s eyes to be opened to God’s protective presence.
  • Divine Action: God revealed an immense host of angels with fiery chariots surrounding them, providing unseen protection and striking the enemy with blindness at Elisha’s request.
  • Insight: Trust in God’s unseen guardians—His protection is often beyond our sight but never beyond His power.

Guidance and Protection Through an Angel:

  • Scenario: As the Israelites navigated the challenges of the wilderness, God promised to send an angel to lead them to the Promised Land.
  • Divine Action: An angel was sent to guide and protect the Israelites, ensuring their safe passage as long as they remained obedient to God’s commands.
  • Insight: Follow God’s lead with confidence. He provides not only the path but also the protection along the way.

These instances exemplify that God’s ways of battling on our behalf often involve elements beyond our comprehension or visible reality, from commanding angelic forces to direct divine interventions. Such acts reinforce that with God, the impossible becomes possible, encouraging us to remain steadfast in faith no matter the odds we face.

Prayer to Activate Angels

Lord, in Jesus’ name, When things seem beyond help, remind me to sing and worship You, even through tears.

When I’m discouraged and don’t know what to do, let me seek Your face.

When my enemies are against me, remind me they are fighting against You, too.

When I’m in a hopeless place, remind me of Your goodness and faithfulness.

Surround me with Your angels to protect and fight for me.

Use Your angels to move nature and defeat my opponents.

Lord, let me see the angels that are helping me, just like Peter saw his angel.

Amen.
